BFMP Invited to Attend the 6th Member Representative Conference of the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry
On November 23, 2025, the 6th Member Representative Conference of the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry was held in Beijing. BFMP was invited to attend the conference. The conference comprehensively summarized the work of the 5th Council of the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry, reviewed and approved various reports and proposals, and elected the 6th Council and the 1st Supervisory Board. Xu Chunrong, Director of the Equipment Industry Department II of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Guo Dacheng, President of the 5th Council; Wu Qiang, Executive Vice President; Chen Minjun, Executive Vice President; candidates for the 6th Council; representatives of member units; heads of relevant provincial and municipal shipbuilding associations; and more than 300 guests attended the meeting.
In his report, Guo Dacheng, President of the 5th Council, reviewed that over the past five years, the association had built six major platforms, including policy research, member services, and innovation-driven development, promoting structural adjustment, technological upgrading, and international cooperation, making significant contributions to the sustained and healthy development of my country's shipbuilding industry. The conference elected the 6th Council and the 1st Supervisory Board by secret ballot. Wang Guoqiang was elected president, and Li Yanqing and 18 others were elected vice presidents. Li Yanqing also serves as secretary-general and legal representative, while Chen Hailong was appointed chairman of the board of supervisors.
In his inaugural address, Wang Guoqiang stated that the new council will adhere to the "four services" principle and focus on four key areas: strengthening the Party's overall leadership and building a new pattern of governance based on law and compliance; focusing on the pain points of enterprises and improving the quality of member services; consolidating scale advantages and jointly building a fair and orderly market; and accelerating the application of green and intelligent technologies to seize the initiative in development.
Xu Chunrong, Director of the Equipment Industry Department II of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, expressed his hope that the association will further elevate its position, expand international cooperation, and help Chinese shipbuilding enterprises enhance their global competitiveness.
The conference presented the "Blue Ocean Deep Cultivation Contribution Award" to senior vice presidents and reviewed and approved proposals such as the articles of association and adjustments to membership fees. Representatives expressed their commitment to working together with the new council to make new contributions to building a maritime power and a shipbuilding powerhouse.
